The new SubSeries 1 is the first of a next generation of high-performance powered subwoofers from PSB. Building on the popular SubZero i, it brings a new level of performance and value to the most affordable subwoofer category. With many significant performance enhancements, it will deliver lower, louder, and more musically lifelike bass than other subwoofers in its price class. And though it’s compact and unobtrusive, it provides the kind of high-impact performance associated with many bigger and more expensive subwoofers.

For those not looking to break the bank, the compact 5i delivers great bass reinforcement for smaller-medium rooms. Here again, we have carefully chosen one of our 10-inch woofers and matched it well with a dynamic 225-watt internal amplifier. The result is an extremely tight bass that delivers the punch that high performance home theater demand. The back panel features connections and control to allow for integration into any of today's modern home theater systems. .

When the PSB engineering team set out to build a dynamic, cost-effective subwoofer, they established a new benchmark that has been hailed by audio critics. The SubSeries 6i uses a simple, but solid bass reflex enclosure to house a single 12-inch woofers backed by a powerful 350-watt amplifier. With crossover and gain controls, and both speaker and line level inputs, the SubSeries 6i integrates well with our other budget-minded speaker ensembles to deliver the excitement of home cinema.

Progressive. Compact. Distinct.

The SubSeries 8 is a significant step up from the highly regarded SubSeries 6i subwoofer. Dual 10-inch woofers on opposite faces, combined with a powerful and efficient 400-watt Class H amplifier, create an extremely high output for its compact size. The SubSeries 8 has carefully applied equalization, giving it very wide and exceedingly flat frequency response. Its woofers were chosen for their controlled dynamic behavior, offering clean and tight output at all levels. The same horizontal and vertical window-pane-type braces contribute to a very stiff cabinet for clean bass output, while the specially designed front and rear ports aid to eliminate port noise.

Compact. Tight. Capable.

The more compact SubSeries 9 approaches the performance of the larger, SubSeries 10 Subwoofer and is the perfect compliment to our award-winning, top-of-the-line Platinum Series of Loudspeakers. However, its smaller footprint is still constructed of the same solid, 1-inch thick enclosure with extensive internal bracing. There is no compromise in sound integrity to that of its larger sibling. However, its output volume is slightly less, as it employs dual 10-inch long-throw drivers. It is available in a rich looking cherry or black ash veneer, to perfectly match other members in the Platinum Series.
