ABOUT US

Hi-Fi Plus (Asia) Inc. was founded in 2003 by Jerome L. de Guzman, a passionate audio enthusiast who has been engaged in this interesting hobby since his teenage years. Like many audiophiles, he embarked on his quest for "audio nirvana" where his final goal was to own an audio system which will be unanimously classified by all audiophiles as the "ideal sound". However, to his utter dismay, he realized that there is no such thing as an "ideal sound" that can be universally acceptable to all audiophiles. The tastes of audiophiles in sound are as diverse as each individual's taste in food and fashion.

Expressions to describe sound such as "huge soundstage", "laid back", "warm", "dark", "dry", "good imaging", "fast", makapal, "manipis", "mataba" and "detalyado" are all relative terms. Equipment that may sound "warm" to one audiophile may sound "dead" to another while equipment which sounds "fast" to one may sound too "bright" to others. Hence, the realization is this - "audio" is subjective and an audiophile should trust his own ears.

We at Hi-Fi Plus (Asia) Inc., welcome everyone to have a relaxed listening session in our showroom where our products can be auditioned thoroughly. We want you to listen carefully and realize for yourself if our products are worth your hard earned money. No hard selling and no pressure.

We hope that our products can be a part of your audio system. And remember…….audio is subjective, trust your ears.
